Job Summary
The Sales Supervisor is responsible for supervising the sales team, driving sales performance, managing customer relationships, and ensuring achievement of the company's sales targets. The position will oversee day-to-day sales activities, coach and motivate sales representatives, monitor market developments, and coordinate with production, logistics, finance, and other departments to ensure customers receive quality products and services on time.
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and sales management skills, with experience in furniture, interior products, construction materials, home décor, or a related industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Team Supervision
Supervise, guide, and motivate Sales Representatives to achieve individual and team targets.
Assign sales territories, customers, and sales activities to team members.
Monitor daily sales activities, customer visits, leads, quotations, and follow-ups.
Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews.
Provide coaching and training to improve team members' sales and customer service skills.
Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions.
2. Sales & Business Development
Develop and implement sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
Identify new customers and business opportunities.
Develop relationships with retailers, distributors, contractors, interior designers, offices, hotels, property developers, and other potential customers.
Monitor sales pipelines and ensure timely follow-up of leads and quotations.
Support the sales team in negotiating major or strategic customer accounts.
Identify opportunities for repeat business, upselling, and cross-selling.
3. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with key customers.
Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
Visit important customers regularly to understand their requirements and obtain feedback.
Ensure accurate communication of customer requirements to production and other relevant departments.
Monitor customer satisfaction and retention.
4. Furniture Product & Market Management
Maintain good knowledge of the company's furniture products, specifications, materials, finishes, pricing, and applications.
Ensure sales staff have adequate product knowledge.
Monitor competitor products, pricing, promotions, and market activities.
Provide management with regular updates on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
Recommend new products or product improvements based on market feedback.
5. Order & Internal Coordination
Coordinate with production to confirm product availability, specifications, and production schedules.
Coordinate with logistics/delivery teams to ensure orders are delivered according to agreed schedules.
Work with the finance department regarding customer payments, credit limits, and outstanding balances.
Follow up on custom or project-based furniture orders to ensure customer requirements are properly communicated.
Resolve order-related issues promptly and professionally.
6. Sales Reporting & Administration
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Monitor sales targets, revenue, margins, and team performance.
Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
Track quotations, orders, pending payments, and sales opportunities.
Analyze sales performance and recommend actions to improve results.
Ensure compliance with company pricing, discount, credit, and sales policies.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
3–5 years of sales experience, preferably with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.
Experience in the furniture manufacturing, furniture retail, interior design, construction materials, or related industry is highly preferred.
Proven record of achieving sales targets.
Strong leadership and team-management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Good understanding of customer relationship management and sales processes.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM/sales management systems.
Ability to analyze sales reports and make data-driven decisions.
Willingness to travel for customer and field visits when required.
Valid driving license is an advantage, where applicable.
