About the role
Join the team behind LonAdd's matching, scheduling and notification services — the parts of the platform that have to stay correct and stay fast as more employers come on.
Our API is multi-tenant from the ground up: every query is scoped to an employer, and getting that wrong leaks one company's candidates to another. You'll work on services where correctness genuinely matters, and where the data model is the interesting part of the job.
What you'll do
- Design and build services for candidate matching, interview scheduling, and notifications
- Model data in PostgreSQL that stays sane as requirements grow — and write the migrations to get there safely
- Own tenant isolation in the code you write, and test that it actually holds
- Keep the API contract honest: if the docs and the behaviour disagree, one of them is a bug
- Instrument what you ship so we find out about problems before customers report them
Who you'll work with
You'll report to the Engineering Manager and work directly with frontend and product. You'll have room to make architectural calls and be expected to explain them.
How we work
On-site in Addis Ababa. We keep the deployment path short, review each other's schema changes carefully, and treat a failing test as a stop-the-line event.
